Thank you for your interest in enrolling with Durham Unified School District. We look forward to meeting you!

In-District Enrollment Process

If you live within the Durham Unified School District boundaries, please have ready to scan into Aeries or bring to the school office :

  • Your child’s official county birth certificate (a copy is acceptable) - Other forms of birth date verification can be accepted please contact the school for more information

  • Your child’s immunization records

  • Proof of your residency within the Durham District Boundaries (Must be current bill that is mailed to your physical address. PO Box mail is not acceptable)

  • 7th-12th grade a copy of your child's most recent Report Card or Transcripts

NOTE: Your enrollment will not be finialzed and accepted until these items are turned in. If you have questions please contact the school office.

Out-of-District Enrollment Process

If you do not live within the Durham Unified School District boundaries, please go to your home school district for an inter-district transfer (Form 11) before coming to register your child with Durham Unified School District

Once your inter-district paperwork has been accepted by Durham Unified School District you will be called with further instructions from the school secretary on the registration process for their school.  

Please bring the following to complete the registration process:

  • Your child’s official county birth certificate (a copy is acceptable)- Other forms of birth date verification can be accepted please contact the school for more information

  • Your child’s immunization records

  • 7th-12th grade a copy of your child's most recent Report Card or Transcripts

NOTE: Your enrollment will not be completed and accepted until these items are turned in. If you have questions please contact the school office your student will be attending.

Inter-District Transfer

Durham Unified School District will be accepting Inter-District transfer forms for the 2023-24 school year beginning January 2nd, 2023. Please see below for the Inter-District Form (Form 11), Board Policy and Regulations regarding inter-district attendance policy.
