  • Anytime- We are currently accepting students for the 2024-2025 school year in 4th and 5th grades on Interdistrict Transfers; we have a waiting list in grades 1st-3rd for Interdistrict Transfers.

• What to Bring/ The Process
  

  • In-District Enrollment Process

    • Please have ready to scan into Aeries or bring to the school office :

      • Your child’s official county birth certificate (a copy is acceptable) - Other forms of birth date verification can be accepted please contact the school for more information.

      • Your child’s immunization records

      • Proof of your residency within the Durham District Boundaries (Must be current bill that is mailed to your physical address. PO Box mail is not acceptable)

  • Out-of-District Enrollment Process

    • If you do not live within the Durham Unified School District boundaries, please go to your home school district to request an inter-district transfer (Form 11) before registering your child with Durham Unified School District. Once your inter-district paperwork has been accepted by Durham Unified School District you will be called with further instructions from the school secretary on the registration process.

    •  Please have ready to scan into Aeries or bring to the school office :

  • NOTE: For inter-district students your enrollment to Durham Elementary School is provisional. You will be notified of official enrollment when enrollment numbers are finalized. Sometimes this can be as late as August. However, this is not common.
