New Durham Intermediate School: Building Location Options – Community Outreach

Dear Durham Community Members,

The Durham Unified School District has begun the preliminary planning of the new Durham Intermediate School campus.  A Facilities Committee has been established.  The Committee is comprised of the following individuals: Facilities Committee Members

The Committee is tasked with guiding the implementation of the District’s Facilities Master Plan (FMP).  The FMP can be reviewed by clicking the following: Facilities Master Plan

Three planning meetings have been held to date.  The notes from these meetings can be viewed at the following link: Facilities Planning Meeting Notes

CURRENT OBJECTIVE:

To reach out to the Durham Community, provide information, and collect feedback on the building location options that the Facilities Committee has developed.

The input received will be provided to the Board of Trustees to help guide their decisions.  It is important to mention that this process is just beginning, and there will be many more opportunities to provide input during the design process.

**It is important to note that all options may include alternative methods of construction, if required to meet the project budget.  These alternative methods could include modular or portable construction in addition to traditionally constructed buildings.**

Please review the three options and then provide your opinion on the Survey Monkey questionnaire at the end of the page.  Thank you for taking the time to participate.
